Project Description

Tercet is an eclectic and fiery fusion of the rhythms of Latin America, flamenco and jazz. Intricately embellished percussion and guitar underlie the power and passion of contemporary flamenco dance from this talented international trio.

Magdalena Mannion

Magdalena is a flamenco dancer/choreographer based between London and Madrid. She trained extensively in Madrid at Amor de Dios, Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila, ESMUC, Northern Contemporary Dance and Merce Cunningham Studio NYC.

Magdalena has been solist at some of Madrid’s top tablaos (performance venues), including Corral de la Morería, Café de Chinitas and Casa Patas, among others. She has worked for different touring companies such as Compañía Rafaela Carrasco,  Compañía Miguel Angel Espino and Riverdance.

Magdalena is the Co-artistic director of the contemporary flamenco company Dotdotdot Dance, whose work has been commissioned and produced by Sadler’s Wells as well as featured in different festivals including Flamencos y Mestizos 2015, Sampled Festival 2017 (Sadler’s Wells, The Lowry), Buxton International Festival 2018, National Theatre Riverstage 2018 and Dans i Nord 2019, BBC Arts and Spanish radio RTVE/Antena 3.


Born in Santiago de Chile in 1973 and based in the UK since 2005, he works actively as a concert guitarist, composer, producer and teacher. He has a style of virtuoso performance which demonstrates a wide range of influences from classical and flamenco to gypsy jazz and Latin American styles.

Jorge has played in prestigious venues around the UK such as the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Womad festival; and in some of the most renowned theatres and festivals throughout Europe.

In June 2006 his talents were internationally recognised when he won a first prize at the ‘Nino Ricardo International Guitar Competition’ held in Murcia, Spain.

Jorge has recorded 5 independent albums and he has played with some of the most important artists in the World Music scene, such as Kai Eckhardt, Tomatito, Mor Karbasi, Noam Vazana and Alec Dankworth.

Jorge is currently performing in the UK with Nova Trio, joining forces with renowned double bass player Alec Dankworth and percussionist Demi García.


Originally from Barcelona. London based since 1999. Demi studied at the London College of Music and is currently studying through ArtistWorks with jazz legend Peter Erskine..

He works as a freelance percussionist and drummer specialising in Flamenco, Jazz, Arabic, Latin, Iberian Folk, and Pop music.

Current project include: Alec Dankworth & Spanish Accents, Nicolas Meier, Shirley Smart Trio, Martin ‘Youth’ Glover, Mel C, Roots Mash, Tim Garland, Nikki Yeoh, John Etheridge & Vimala Rowe, Black Midi, Blanco White, Jorge Bravo, Tercet, Jose Almarcha, Giles Thornton, Lourdes Fernández Flamenco Company, Ben Hillier, La Típica contemporary Flamenco company, Maria Vega Dance company, Melange, Hunter Gatherers, The Budapest Cafe Orquestra, La Xula. He has toured all over Europe, North Africa, and USA.

Demi regularly teaches Cajon and Flamenco Rhythms at Escuela Flamenco Londres (Flamenco dance School London).

Since lockdown, Demi has been branching out in new directions. Recent ventures include composition, arranging and music production. He has enjoyed the challenges of this work and plans to continue alongside his work as a percussionist/drummer once live concerts resume.
