Maxyne achieved a Master’s Degree in Jazz Voice at the world renown Guildhall School of Music and Drama, has performed at most of London’s iconic venues, and was part of a select group who performed in front of an 80,000 crowd at Hyde Park for the Papal visit.
The Royal Albert Hall – Barbican – London Palladium The Dorchester – The Savoy – Royal Festival Hall – Ronnie Scott’s – Saatchi Gallery – TVAM – BBC Radio – 606 Club – Jazz Cafe – Marriot Hotels Regents Park – Grosvenor Square – The Royal Lancaster Hotel – Mansion House for Lord and Lady Mayoress – Opening of the Bloomberg Building are some of the iconic venues she has had the good fortune to have played at. She also worked extensively within the City of London performing at many corporate events and has been booked for parties and functions at private residences. She has worked with various Jazz, Soul and Gospel ensembles.
Gospel choirs is where it all started for Maxyne, some dance releases followed and now she is currently working on original material to be released later in the year – a mix of Soul & Jazz with various collaborators.
Maxyne resigned from a lucrative secure career in order to study at Guildhall School of Music and Drama to fully align herself with her passion. She views singing and performing as her vocation in life.
